What we offer

We aim to improve your skiing or snowboarding and offer a safe and personal learning experience with our private lessons. We believe that keeping our groups small with a max of 4 participants ensures everyone a quality learning experience. We recommend everyone has a similar skill level to get the most out of your lesson. We offer door to door service within the Madarao village.

2 Hour Lesson

Mountain Discover

Discover the best routes on Madarao Mountain to get the most out of Japan's famous powder, this is great for powder hounds who don't want to waste time finding the best spots. We highly recommend being at least an intermediate snowboarder/skier.

This is my first time snowboarding.

Lesson focus:

Learn how to move with one foot attached, be able to slide and stop on both edges safely.

This is my first time skiing.

Lesson focus:

Learn how to stop and begin linking turns.

Level 2: Beginner

I have tried snowboarding before and can slide left and right on my heel edge.

Lesson focus:

Linking heel and toe side turns, stopping with both edges.

I have tried skiing before & I can stop

Using the chairlift, and linking turns to control speed and direction

Level 3: Intermediate

I can use the chair lift and link turns while controlling my speed.

Should i make a reservation in advance?

Weekends and New Year holidays are very busy and we may refuse a booking. In order to attend a lesson when you wish, we strongly recommend making a reservation in advance. Also we are a small ski school so our instructors are always booked for holiday periods.

Is it possible to book on the day?

If there is a room, you can book the lesson you wish. Weekends and New Year holidays are very busy, so we may refuse your reservation or you may not be able to book a lesson at your desired time. If you wish to book a lesson, we strongly recommend booking well in advance.

Do you charge a cancellation fee?

In case of cancellation by a customer except when we cannot hold lessons due to inability of the snow school or ski resort we will charge a cancellation fee as follows. 1 day before: 50% on the day: 100%

This is my first lesson, do I need a lift pass?

Only when you ride a lift during the lesson. You can purchase lift tickets even during lessons. If you are a first timer it will be unlikely you will be riding the chair lift.

Is ski rental gear included in the lesson?

Equipment rental is not included in the price of lessons. You can make your equipment reservation online why

Do you cancel lessons due to bad weather?

Basically lessons will always be held, unless the lifts and gondola service all stop running at the ski area.

Do you provide a refund if I quit the lesson?

It is possible to leave the lesson in the middle after starting the lesson. However, we cannot provide a refund or allow you to attend a lesson at a different time.

Our group's individual level is different, Can everyone join the same lesson?

It is possible for everyone to attend in one group. However, please note that lessons will always be conducted according to the pace of the lowest level.
